Welcome Home To My Soldier
I've got great news!!! Remember my adopted soldier? He's on the way home!!!!!! Woo hoo! I had a box sitting on my front porch when I got home today filled with thank you gifts to me for supporting him. How cool is that?! He should be home within a week or so.I thought about waiting to adopt another soldier but decided that with the holidays coming up, I needed to go ahead and re-up. I got another one ... and it's a girl. I'm excited to buy some fun girly things this time.
Not too much else going on. I'm trying to decide if I want to audition tomorrow for another show. I don't particularly want to do this show but the theatre is doing Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in May and I'd really like to do that one so I'm thinking that I maybe need to audition and get my face in front of them. This theatre has a reputation of only using actors that they are familiar with. Sigh .... not really ready to start rehearsals again but I might have to at least try for it. We'll see what tomorrow brings moodwise.

Golly, I hope you don't wear yourself out too much with another play so soon. But it is a good idea to put yourself out there to be seen/recognized by the group.

That's really impressive about the gifts you got. Sounds like everything worked out well for you and your soldier.
As you know, I supported a soldier after reading your post, and after only two letters and one package, he is coming home already too!
I also considered adopting another one, but my life is so topsy turvy I'd hate to drop the ball on him.
But I feel guilty even thinking that!

Cool that you got a girl this time. What kinds of things could go into a care package that would be different than for a guy? Don't feel pressured into auditions. They would be lucky to get you even if they aren't familiar with you. Their problem, not yours.
