My Shameful Secret

I have a secret.

It's a little something that is tucked deep inside the hidden corners of the pleasure center in my brain .... and my brother found out and called me on it.

Awwww crap!

I admit it ... taking a deep breath ... Yes, I love bad 80's music!

Little brother borrowed my IPOD for his run and when he came back, he laughed at me! Brat!!

I can't help myself: Michael Jackson, Bananarama, Tears for Fears ... I love them all. Thank goodness he didn't get far enough into my playlist to find the Grease 2 soundtrack. Oh gosh, did I just admit to that too? I think it's time to go to bed.

Happy Thursday!

There's bad 80's music? I didn't think anything like that existed. How could it? Every song marked some special occasion in my life.

And it doesn't matter if it was good or bad...you know if you're from that era you know all the words to every song anyways.

I know I do.

You're speaking OneHung's language with the whole 80s music thing going on. But he can't recall any "bad" 80s music. Unusual, yes, but bad, no.

I love 80's music too....but I dated a man who would tap the steering wheel and sing over the singer. That, I didn't like!

The 80's were a seminal turning point in the development of music. You like what you like, no shame required. I bet everyone had a copy of Thriller somewhere in the house. They just won't admit it because it's not cool now. Besides, The Clash was 80's too. I wouldn't have survived without 'em.

Heh, I'm WAY stuck in the eighties when it comes to music (I even ADMIT it in my blogger profile.)

Even as I write this, I have a Pet Shop Boys CD in my car stereo...

HA HA..that is so funny!! I love the 80's, grew up on that stuff...funny thing is...when my daughter became turned on to music enough to want CD's and things...first ones she bought was Duran Duran..and Flock of Seagulls!!! I died laughing!! I was also a big fan of the disco era...not the crappy stuff but the kick ass dance/club disco. When I heard Maroon 5's new song ("Makes Me Wonder") I fell in love all over again..I think disco may be on its way back in...only alittle altered...LOL
